Julian grew up in Truro and was educated at Redruth Grammar School; he studied surveying in Bristol and after a short period working for a firm of Chartered Surveyors in London returned to Cornwall.
During his career he has worked throughout Cornwall surveying and valuing property for private and corporate clients specialising in both residential and commercial property.
During the 1980’s, Julian was a partner with the substantial local respected firm of Jose Collins and Harris, which was subsequently sold to the Leeds Building Society.
Julian was one of the first surveyors in the county to carry out Mundic Block Testing.
Before joining DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors in 2005, Julian was an Area Surveyor for one of the largest national surveying chains where he was responsible for leading a team of surveyors covering the South West of England.
Julian is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, an RICS Registered Valuer and a member of the local RICS branch committee. He is also a founder member of the Cornwall Property Professionals Association (CPPA).

Paul studied Valuations and Estate Management for three years at Bristol following which he spent two years in commercial agency in Southampton.
After qualifying, Paul decided to specialise in the field of residential survey and valuation, over the next nine years working in private practice in Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset.
In 1994 Paul relocated to Cornwall with his family and joined DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors continuing mainly in the field of residential survey and valuation, carrying out Building Surveys, Homebuyers Survey and Valuation reports, Concrete Screening Tests and other associated professional work.
Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer and a member of the Cornwall Property Professionals Association (CPPA).

Patrick Polglase grew up near Falmouth, Cornwall and started his property career at Stratton and Holborow in Truro before studying Estate Management at The RAC Cirencester. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with Strutt and Parker in St Albans, later moving to First Valuers in London.
Before his return to Cornwall, Patrick lived and worked in Australia where he became an Associate of the Australian Institute of Valuers and worked for CBRE and Preston Rowe Patterson, specialising in valuation work for a range of clients including leading banks, institutions and the Australian Government.
Prior to working at Dowling Dodd Chartered Surveyors, Patrick was manager of the commercial department for the leading family firm of Estate Agents in Cornwall. The department carried out agency sales, leasing and professional work across leisure, development, agricultural, retail, residential, industrial and hotel sectors.
Patrick is a Parish Councillor with an interest in planning and environment, a Truro Secondary School Governor of Academy Trust, and a non-executive Director of a local tourism and transport related business. He is also on a committee of The Cornwall Community Foundation charity.
Patrick is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer.

Glyn was born in Cornwall and educated at Redruth Grammar School. He studied for his surveying qualification in Bristol qualifying in 1973.
His first appointment was with the Commercial department of Osmond Tricks and Son in Bristol followed by a short spell with the District Valuer in Bath.
In 1977 he returned to Cornwall to set up a professional surveying department in Helston before joining the former Bristol & West Building Society as staff valuer for Cornwall valuing mostly residential properties but also specialist commercial property.
In 1996 he joined Halifax Building Society as Staff Valuer for Cornwall.
From 1999 to 2003 he joined Fulfords Survey & Valuation to set up a professional department in Cornwall.
Glyn joined DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors in 2003 carrying out inspections and valuations for all types of residential and commercial properties specialising in commercial, business and development property valuations.
Glyn is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a RICS Registered Valuer.

Teresa joined DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors in 2008 as Practice Manager bringing with her considerable experience in Customer Service, Administration, IT and training and has continued to develop her skills during her time with us.
As Practice Manager she is responsible for the day to day running of the office and ensuring that we continue to meet our customers’ needs as well as all the back room work that is required to support our surveyors.
Her role includes staff training, project management, accounts, diary and workflow management and she is often the all-important first point of contact for DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors customers.
Teresa is a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Suzanne returned to her home County of Cornwall in 2004, after working in Cardiff and other parts of the UK. Joining DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors in 2017, Suzanne has brought with her experience gained in the public, private and legal sectors and has also previously qualified as a Paralegal with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Now as part of the Administration team at DowlingDodd, Suzanne supports mainly the Commercial team but also works in Residential and provides customer support and assistance to our many and varied clients.
Both Suzanne and her husband live in the heart of Truro and thoroughly enjoy living and working in Cornwall once again.

Susie lives in Truro and joined DowlingDodd Chartered Surveyors in 2017.
Susie has 10 years' experience working in administration and customer service and brings a high level of attention to detail and enthusiasm for the role. Since joining DowlingDodd, Susie has enjoyed supporting the residential team and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge within the commercial department.
Pip brings a friendly and relaxed nature to the team which shines through and he can often be seen sporting a fashionable coat or smart bow tie. Pip enjoys relaxing in front of the fire after a long day spent exploring the Cornish coastline.
